S’mores

As summer comes to an end and the chilly nights of autumn appear, an outdoor fire is a perfect end to the day. In my opinion, nothing pairs better with a fire than s’mores. This sweet dessert is not just for summer but is often forgotten in the other seasons. The classic fireside treat is typically made with graham crackers, chocolate squares, and a toasted marshmallow. For a fun twist try substituting the ingredients and making a “mix and match” board or platter for your family and friends. Perhaps try a peanut butter cup instead of the usual chocolate square, or a toasted marshmallow between two chocolate covered pretzels.
