A long-time print publisher, Jane started the Upstate Gardeners’ Journal in 1995, and purchased (585) magazine in 2019 and Roc Parent, formerly Genesee Valley Parent, in 2020, rebranding it (585) Kids. In her free time, Jane enjoys traveling with her boyfriend, playing tennis and paddle, and spending time with her daughter and grand puppy.
Before Christine became editor at (585) magazine she tried her hand at archaeology, housekeeping, and grant writing. She enjoys writing fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction. When she isn’t writing she is gardening or practicing yoga. Reach Christine at [email protected]
Caroline Kunze is our VP of sales and loves everything about the 585 area! She grew up in Webster and has a BS in Business Management from St. John Fisher College. Cathy Monrad is a Jill of all trades who has a passion for learning one new thing a day. Monrad holds a BFA in Graphic Design from SUNY Fredonia. When she isn’t working for (585) she is the graphic designer and garden crafter for Upstate Gardeners’ Journal as well as the creative director and “Crafty Cat” for (585) Kids. Michael Hanlon is a Finger Lakes native and long time contributor to the City of Rochester’s media presence. For over a decade his work has been seen in print publications and online media sources like Gannett, 585 Publishing, Rochester City Newspaper, and POST magazine to name a few. Michael works in a downtown Rochester studio as well as on location creating content for local businesses large and small. In his spare time you can find him pursuing his passion for motorcycles and film photography.
