Now that you’ve made it through another remote work week or another week locked up with the kids, we think you deserve a glass of your favorite beverage.
And while you can’t sit at the bar of your favorite watering hole, you can still support many local brands with curbside pickup, delivery, and shipping options.
See below for just a few of our favorite local breweries and wineries staying active in the age of social distancing.
- Lock 32 Brewing Company in Pittsford is taking online orders for pickup between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. daily. Order your choice of IPA, DIPA, Scotch ale, blonde ale, hard cider, and more in a 32-oz crowler. Take home an All Together IPA, and all profits from the sale will go directly to the Lock 32 staff. When you order online, you’ll also have the option to make a donation to the Center for Youth.
- In Fairport, Casa Larga Vineyards and Winery continues to sell wine, wine glasses, slushie kits, packaged chocolates, cork pullers, and more. Curbside pickup, shipping options, and delivery within 15 miles of the winery are available; place your order online, by phone, or by email with a credit card. Planning for their summer patio parties continues to move forward.
- Curbside pickup is available at Iron Tug Brewing on West Ridge Road from Thursday through Sunday. Choose from the following options: Irish red ale, IPA, pilsner, oatmeal stout, and more. Crowlers and growlers available. Order online or by phone, and they’ll text you when your order is ready. Be ready with your ID and order number, and ITB will place the order in your trunk, back seat, or outside of your car.
- In an effort to contribute to the Finger Lakes wine industry, Agness Wine Cellars is hosting a Facebook Live Virtual Wine Tasting, featuring a variety of brands from around the region, on Thursdays at 7 p.m.. Be sure to pick up a bottle of their 2018 Finger Lakes Semi-Dry Riesling at one of the shops listed on their website.
- In Hilton, Blue Barn Cidery is offering to-go sales with curbside pickup on Fridays and Saturdays. Stop by for a growler or grumbler (or refill) of any of 16 options, including cider from Blue Barn, 1911 Established, and Embark Craft Ciderworks, as well as wine, liquor, non-alcoholic sparkling cider, and beer options.
- Rochester’s first craft brewery, Rohrbach Brewing Company, is accepting orders for takeout between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m., Wednesday through Friday. Choose from single 16-ounce cans, four-packs, and crowlers of Irish ale, vanilla porter, IPA, lager, pineapple wheat beer, and more. Heron Hill wine and White Claw hard seltzer also available for purchase. Food menu items include homemade mac and cheese, fish fry, BBQ brisket sandwich, and more.
- Whichcraft Brews is a unique brewery in Webster featuring an indoor food truck, and all of their beer, wine, liquor, and food options are still available by curbside pickup or delivery. Place an order online or by phone from the nearly 40 beer options, including non-alcoholic varieties. Food items, including a Buffalo chicken sandwich, cheeseburger, and cheesesteak are also available.
- Touchless curbside takeout is available from Irondequoit Beer Company—just call to place your order. Their beer offerings include IPAs, Belgian dark ale, sour brews, Hefeweizen, a brown ale, blonde ale, and more. Wine, cider, kombucha, and soda are also available, as well as food items like warm Bavarian pretzels, wings, tacos, and more.
- While the kitchen is currently closed, you can still place an order online for a cold bevvie from Fifth Frame Brewing. Pick up a Kolsch, nitro stout, DIPA, IPA, or whatever you fancy—some available by four-pack and some available by 32-oz. crowler. Local delivery is also available within a 10-mile radius and a $60 minimum. You may even get a dad joke or two with your confirmation text.
- Dr. Konstantin Frank Winery is open normal business hours for take-out wine purchases. If you’d rather not leave home, they’re featuring free shipping on six or more bottles at the moment. The winery is also currently donating 10% of proceeds of their Helm Series wines to Pro Action’s Hope Center Keuka Food Pantry. So you can have your wine and help a great cause, all in one shot
