In our last issue I shared that I was able to dry lots of lavender this season. But then I looked at Bonnie Warriner’s articles in this issue and realized my few bundles are really nothing compared to her dried flowers! I am constantly impressed by Bonnie’s gardening, crafting, and writing. We are pretty lucky to have her on our team.
And don’t forget to read Sam Tabone’s recipe—his vegetable galette looks absolutely mouthwatering, and I’ll be making it next time we have guests over.
Of course, our other articles about fasciation, squirrels, and garden events are also exciting reads. Every article taught me something new, and that is one of the things I love best about working on the Upstate Gardeners’ Journal. I am always learning new information about gardening, recipes, crafts, and the people and places that make our Western New York garden community so wonderful.
If you make the craft or bake the galette send us photos or tag us on social media.
