Crisis care

Finding emergency care for your best friend in the (585)

The November 2023 closure of Veterinary Specialists and Emergency Services (VSES) in Rochester is a significant loss for (585) pet parents. VSES was a vital regional resource that provided 24/7 emergency medical treatment for pets.

We never had to think about where to go, we just went to VSES. Do you know where you would take your fur kid if they suddenly needed emergency care now? The best time to have a plan is before a health crisis occurs. Minutes can count when facing a serious or life-threatening condition.

We Googled and found several nearby urgent care practices. Animal emergency hospitals are outside of Rochester but all within driving distance. It will take a little longer for most of us so use a navigation app to find out the closest options to your (585) address.
