This workshop features local research and project highlights from environmental professionals, provides techniques for incorporating nature into classroom curricula, and strengthens confidence in using the outdoors as a teaching space. August 12: The Hamburg Club CW Native Plant Farm & Botanika Tour, 10 a.m. Guided by owner, Kathy Contino, this native plant farm showcases a wide variety of bushes, trees, and other biolife to increase the biodiversity in Western New York. Guests will be guided through pollinator gardens and the bird trail along Murder Creek, while also exploring the botanika with a wide selection of herbal infused skin care, incense, candles, and more. August 15: Fused glass Planter Fork Stake, 10a.m.–12p.m. Members create their own decorative fused glass piece to be placed in a pot as an accent piece.
