A few times each year, over 125 cats of more than thirty-five different breeds come together at the Sweden-Clarkson Community Center in Brockport, NY, for the Brockport Cat Show. The two-day event put on by clubs affiliated with the Cat Fancier’s Association (CFA) features cat rescues, adoptable cats, feline agility, judging, and free coloring books for the whole family. There are multiple competitions where judges rank cats based on traits such as coat length and breed. Attendees are free to watch the judging as well as walk the aisles and meet and greet with cats at their owner’s discretion. Tickets can be purchased online or at the door, and information on upcoming events can be found on Facebook or Eventbrite through Roc NY Cat Shows or CFA, as well as on cfagreatlakes.org show schedule.
