The RGMC presents “It’s a Jungle Out There!”

Join us on a playful journey exploring nature’s exotic wonders, from “Eye of the Tiger” to “The Lion Sleeps Tonight” to a barbershop arrangement of “The Swan” from The Carnival of the Animals. This concert is bursting with color, character, and a bit of wild fun.

Recently, we’ve expanded this theme to acknowledge how chaotic and dangerous the world around us can be. In today’s challenging political and cultural landscape, it’s easy to feel lost or threatened. That’s why we’ve added “Chosen Family” and “Stand in the Light” as essential parts of the program, reminding us all of the power of authenticity, belonging, and solidarity.

Strung together, the meaning behind these songs forms a narrative of empowerment, resilience, hope, and love as we navigate through our jungle of a world.

As is our tradition for Rochester’s Pride Month, we are thrilled to share the stage with our friends from the Flower City Pride Band and the Rochester Women’s Community Chorus.
