Summer Art Camp is a three-day series of two-and-a-half-hour creative workshops taught by art educators Melissa and Veronica Talma for children ages 6 through 12. Each day centers on a stand-alone project. Students will be guided by the instructor in artistic techniques, and individuals will work at their own pace. Creativity is encouraged in this nonjudgmental space in which all are welcome.
Projects:
Wednesday, August 5: Participants will create an original Matisse-inspired collage.
Thursday, August 6: Students will create a Gelli Plate print of insects like pollinators or beetles.
Friday, August 7: Participants will build a 3-D sculptures using cardboard and other found objects.
