Mindful Arts Journey

Join artist and educator, Amy Gendrou, as she facilitates this expression-based class designed for reset and exploration! It is a positive, centering, art-making, and reflective class intended for deep work as an artist—with the option to share (though this is not required). Amy has attended training in mindful arts facilitation and brings her mindful and supportive approach to this class.

Amy’s states that her goal is “to facilitate the use of guided writing, making art in a communal setting, reflecting/witnessing, and voluntary sharing in order to reduce stress and anxiety, to externalize feelings, and promote relaxation and creativity. All of these activities, done with my guidance and modeling, promote mental well-being and health.”

This is a great class for writers, visual artists, educators and instructors, peace seekers, and community shapers. It is helpful for anyone working through artistic or creative blocks, closing chapters, starting new ventures, or seeking more creative balance.

Register on Eventbrite (https://www.eventbrite.com/e/1994177433385?aff=oddtdtcreator) or visit MainStreetArtsCS.org. Workshop fee is $35 and includes all tools and materials. Students will be given a small art journal for writing and reflection (to use and keep) as well as large (18″ x 24″) paper on which artists can explore in wet and dry media.

This is a great way to evaluate your journey midyear—with centered creative expression rooted in mindfulness and support for your artistic life. We hope you join us.
