All around us an interdependence exists of shared geometries and place. These support and sustain one another. This quadrant of geometric lenses and languages is constantly in flux and dialogue—through form and function, design and space, natural and manmade. This exhibition hopes to capture a variety of ways in which artists see and use architecture, pattern, mandala, or sacred geometry (as found in nature) within their body of artistic work.
This exhibition features over 40 New York State artists who live & work in the Adirondack region to the Southern Tier of NY and from Buffalo to Ithaca and eastward. It’s an exhibition that has something for everyone. From mandalas to woven quilts, sculptural work in bronze and steel to ceramic vases, beadwork to cyanotype photography, gelli-plate printmaking to color pastel drawings, this is an eclectic and inspiring array of incredible artwork by highly talented artists many of whom have shown with us for over a decade.
