Ceramic Surface Design Workshop with Chatham Monk and Justin Rice

Join exhibiting artists, Chatham Monk and Justin Rice—included in Made From Clay for a two-day ceramic workshop with a focus on surface design. In this workshop, you will get a brief introduction on the properties of clay, making hand-built vessels and tiles, to then explore underglaze painting and sgraffito surface designs. No previous clay experience necessary, open to all levels. Saturdays, May 11 and 18, 12 p.m.–3 p.m. each day. $100 per person, all materials included.
