Location: At 611 Winton Road North, the Winton Branch Library is located in the northeast sector (8) of Rochester, at the intersection of North Winton Road and Atlantic Avenue.
The Winton Branch Library’s service area is bounded on the north and east by the city line, on the south by University Avenue and on the west by Culver Road. There is a Reading Garden in the back of the library property, with a meandering path and bench seating. Winton’s collection reflects a wide spectrum of needs and interests. Recreational reading is the highest patron priority, but there is also extensive use of Winton’s wireless connection, with patrons accessing the Internet on their own devices. The branch offers daily newspapers and 124 magazine titles that can be checked out. There is an audio visual collection of over 8,000 items, half of which are DVDs.

Services: Meeting Room: The Winton meeting room seats approximately 50 and is well-used by community groups and other non-profit organizations, who may book the room for free. The room is also available to for-profit organizations, for whom a $30 fee applies. Call library staff at (585) 428-8204 for additional details. Winton Branch offers Notary Public services– patrons in need of this service are advised to call ahead and make sure that the Notary Public is on duty.
Computers:There are seven adult/young adult computers with Internet access and Microsoft programs. The Children’s Room has three computers with filtered Internet access and children’s games. Printing is available from all computes, with color prints slightly higher in cost than black and white prints.
